According to Mehr News Agency, Timur Pourheidari, in a trade table session between Iran and Russia in Astrakhan on Wednesday, elaborated on the industrial and export capacities of Gilan. He stated, "Gilan, with over 70 industrial units in the wood and cellulose industries, as well as having powerful factories for cakes and biscuits, is recognized as a hub in the food and cellulose industry. He expressed full readiness for the development of trade exchanges and meeting the needs of the two countries, saying, "Friendly interactions between the two countries, especially Astrakhan, can lead to an increase in trade relations and facilitate the process of bilateral activities.
